Check out this Renoir. WTF is going on in this picture anyway?
There seems to be a young male lying in the crook of the tree trunk, a totally nude woman who is, for some reason, covering her snatch and appears to be getting ready to get dressed. Odd, that I think she's about to put her clothes back on. Perhaps someone else thinks she just took them off.
At any rate, why is the dog there??

Okay, now I can see the picture.
All I notice is that her left breast is smaller than her right and that the dog is going to ruin that white dress laying on it like that. And I'm not sure why she's holding her genitalia. Do you think she has to pee?
Ann, that was my first thought. She's gotta go and doesn't want to in front of the pervy peeping tom there.
What was Renoir thinking of while painting this too? (totally a rhetorical question here)
The dog is there to protect her. He's not doing a very good job.

I think she is putting her clothes back on. I think this is demonstrated by the dog lying on her clothes. I don't know about your experiences, but if any article of my clothing falls on the my dog is laying on the floor my dog is on it within seconds. As for my blog... I meant that I did not have any photos of my feet.
After looking at the pic again. I think it looks like the man is checking out a mole on her back.
Maybe centuries ago this was how doctors gave checkups.
